The Alta Road Roundabout project consisted of the construction of a single lane modern roundabout at the intersection of Allen Road and Alta Road. The improvements included earthwork, 1.0 mile of Full Depth HMA pavement, curb and gutter, two culvert extensions, three gravity modular block retaining walls, rip-rap, HMA multi-use path, sidewalk, street lighting and landscaping. This project connected to an on-going IDOT contract on Allen Road and Alta Road; therefore, coordination between the two projects was critical in the success of both. Construction Cost amounted to $3.8 Million.
